Rapid Tracker: Providing Security through Collaboration

We live in disturbing times and trust is a commodity hard to come by.  No matter which part of the world you are in, the newspaper brings plenty of bad news everyday. Makes you wonder, are we ever really safe, right? Probably not, but with a few preventive steps we can ensure that we have more peace of mind and can at least make a conscious attempt to stay away from trouble.

Rapid Tracker is one such app. The app is available for iPhones, Android and BlackBerry based smartphones. It aims to provide security to users through GPS-enabled tracking and collaboration features. It can be used not only by individual users, but also businesses to ensure safety of their employees.

Location tracking features
Real-time location tracking is provided through GPS and the app allows for geo-fencing, setting geo-points and allowing users to do photo check-ins.

The geo-fencing feature lets users set a specified perimeter of area that they consider safe for travel so that whenever they go beyond this region, others in their group can be alerted.
The most frequently visited places can be set as geo-points and users have the option to send out alerts when traveling outside these specified geo-points.

Users can not only share status updates with their group, but also use the photo check-in feature to click and share photos of their locations with others in their group. In addition, users can configure emergency alerts that can be sent out in times of distress to a set number of emergency contacts as well as emergency services.

Collaboration and additional features
RapidProtect is not just a mere tracking app. It has a lot of advanced collaboration features like letting users share photos, weather alerts, in-app chat among users, etc. The app also provides updates about any possible natural disasters that could be expected in users’ locations.

An integrated sex offender search feature lets users learn about all the registered sex offenders in their regions. It is especially useful when users switch to new locations and is currently available only for the U.S. regions.

Users can also log-in to RapidProtect via a web portal to analyze important information about their accounts and app usage patterns.

RapidProtect also integrates fully with popular social networks like Facebook and Twitter to let users post status updates using the app directly to these platforms as well, allowing them to update their friends about their locations.

New features in the app lets users create notes and to-do lists and either share them with the group or keep them personal. A convenient dashboard organizes the various features, making navigation a breeze.

Users can also access their check-in history and message vaults to analyze and deduce usage patterns of the app to configure their app for better security. RapidProtect offers 24X7 customer support so that users always have assistance to solve any issues with the app. The company is planning to release this app for Symbian based smartphones too shortly.
